How it all started...
Paron Baptist Church was founded in 1882 by a small group of Christian men and women who felt the need for an organized church. The first building was located on a site off the Ouachita City Road. The church remained at this location until 1915 and was then moved to the site of the Old Hill School House. In 1956 the church was moved to its present location on Highway 2 West of Sterlington.
At work in the here and now...
We believe that God has not only done amazing work in our past, but He is doing an amazing work in our present! We are called to live today for His glory, His kingdom, and His mission. Today, we want to be disciples making disciples!
Vision for the future...
"Where there is no vision, the people perish" Proverbs 29:18.
Our prayer is that our vision is bigger than us. We desire a God sized vision for the church, the work of the church. We do not want to be limited by our abilities or resource, but desire to led by and unlimited God.
